Deals, checked against the record
In this market every product is “on sale” all year, so a struck-through list price
says little. We compare each product with its own recorded daily price at the brand's
official store, including on-page promo prices where we can verify them. See the
methodology, or subscribe to new recorded lows by RSS.
New recorded lows today
These products set a new minimum in our record today. The verdict distinguishes a
genuinely unusual reduction from a normal recurring price.
A lowest recorded price is useful context, but it is not automatically unusual.
These products match their recorded low while remaining within their normal range.
“Recorded low” means the lowest effective price in our daily record for that
product. It describes the available history—not all past prices everywhere. We show
30-day minimum history and the exact days tracked before assigning a verdict.
The Discount Reality Index
Of the 44 in-stock products advertising a
discount at their brand's store today, 41 have
the 30+ days of recorded history needed to be scored—and
6 of those are actually priced below their
own trailing 90-day median.
The median advertised discount is 10%;
the median measured position against recent history is
exactly at the median
—the gap between rhetoric and record.
Aggregate figures describe the tracked market, not any one brand. “vs own
90-day median” compares today's price with the median of that same product's recorded
prices over the trailing 90 days.
